How to take care of eyebrows?
The tiny hair growing on our brow ridge doesn’t differ much from the hair located on our head. Though, brow hair’s length is definitely shorter, the needs of them both are exactly the same. To grow and become thick and dark, eyebrows require being supplied with nutrients. Frequently, the ones delivered with food aren’t enough, therefore it’s a good idea to turn to additional support.
Some people reach for home methods to condition eyebrows, among which the leading role is played by application of natural oils, treating brows with Vaseline or putting on conditioning brow mascaras. Sadly, none of the mentioned methods is able to gift brows with such a beneficial action as a brow serum is. Yet, one question arises, namely, which eyebrow serum is the best one?
Which eyebrow serum is the best one? Which one doesn’t beautify brows but also regenerates them and improves their health? Which one receives the greatest number of positive reviews?
How to shape eyebrows?
Once we take care of our eyebrows to make them healthy and stunning, we must tame them afterwards. Well-nourished and replenished with water, they start growing thick so they can ‘step off’ the perfect brow contour. Thus, we won’t avoid shaping our eyebrows. This is a completely natural course of action – first, brow nourishment, then brow shaping and finally applying make-up.
The most popular methods of brow shaping are: pulling brows out using tweezers, application of wax, threading and removing unwanted hairs due to special trimmers. Which of the methods is the most effective?
- Eyebrow Shaping Using Tweezers
This is the most popular method that requires a little bit of patience. It depends on manual plucking of individual hairs that grow outside our perfect eyebrow contour, which has to be set earlier of course. The advantage of this technique is that we are able to perform it at home. The only item required is convenient tweezers. On the other hand, this method has its drawbacks as well. Namely, shaping eyebrows with tweezers is rather painful. Also, it’s easy to pull out too many hairs by accident. - Threading
Although this method of eyebrow shaping originates from Arabic countries, it gradually becomes more and more popular in other parts of the world. Threading technique is recommended especially to those people whose skin is irritation-prone since it doesn’t trigger any adverse reactions typical for eyebrow hair removal. This beauty treatment can also be done at home but it can be considerably more troublesome then. How to thread eyebrows? In short, shaping eyebrows depends on using a loop made of thin threads that are twisted in the middle. With the aid of the threads hairs are grabbed and plucked. The best way to learn this technique is by watching a few tutorials available on the web. - Eyebrow Waxing
To shape eyebrows you can also use either warm or cold wax, yet it’s advisable to undergo this beauty treatment at a parlour. The huge advantage of wax hair removal is that this substance is able to pull out even the thinnest and the fairest hairs that can’t be seen while removing unwanted facial hair due to tweezers, for example. Owing to waxing the effect obtained is really natural. Sadly, the moment of pulling out the stripes of wax isn’t pleasant. - Other Eyebrow Shaping Methods
Of course, there are other methods of eyebrow shaping but there is no point in devoting separate paragraphs to describe them since they aren’t that popular. Brows can be shaped also by using sugar paste (requires skills) as well as by using special devices such as comb-like trimers or electric trimers.
Choosing the most appropriate method depends on our preferences, skills and the thickness of our wallet.
How to do eyebrow make-up?
The last step of getting the perfect brows is accentuating them using colour cosmetics, of course. Depending on the eyebrow serum we choose, we will have to devote either more or less time to this procedure. After all, a good eyebrow serum can leave the hairs thicker and darker, and as a result, an eyebrow pencil might become redundant.
However, if you aren’t fond of the colour of our brows, you have two options to choose form:
- You can apply make-up to your brows every day using colours cosmetics such as pencils, shadows and tints. Obviously, some of them are easier to use, whereas the others require more experience. Also, some of them have longer wearability, whereas the others might deliver more natural-looking effect but fade away faster.
- You can also get the eyebrows coloured for good, but this requires a linergist help. This is a beautician specialised in applying permanent make-up, which resembles tattooing. The effect is long-lasting since it stays true even for a few years.
